Sometimes called the washer s door hinge the door lock assembly has three key components.

I am not sure i understand the question but if i have a preference i would like for it to swing to the right as you face the machine. Door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Replace the washer door hinge. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating.

If you look at the door the right side is much tighter than the left side.
